Advanced Searching
Use * or ? for truncated searching. Also called stemming, this technique allows you to search for various word endings and spellings simultaneously.
Limits and Sorts
Limits can be applied only when using keyword searches. There are limit categories for type of material, language and library.
The sorting feature allows your results to be sorted by publication date, title, author, and type of media. The default sort is publication date in descending order. In the results screen, sorts can be applied multiple times.
Online Resources
The FAQs offer general and local information helpful to both staff and customers. Much of the information relates to the local area, its history, government, geography and current demographics. The FAQs may be searched (keyword searching) or browsed by question.
TRAILS database contains an index of newspaper and magazine articles relating to the history of Tampa Bay area and the state of Florida from selected local publications. TRAILS also includes citations to obituaries published in the Tampa Tribune 1895 - (Indexing ongoing).
