the 78th Street Community Library

Dedicated on Sunday, May 18, 1997, the 78th Street Community Library is the result of efforts by library advocates from the communities of Palm River, Clair-Mel and Progress Village, along with the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library Board and Hillsborough County staff.

Funded by the .10 mill library property tax, this 8,000.square-foot public library offers information via print and electronic sources and leisure reading, as well as community meeting rooms.
