The library's primary sources of monetary resources comes from generous donations in the form of money and materials and from sales through an on-going book sale located in the Used Book Sale Room in the library. The library occupies about 3500 square feet. The collection is comprised of about 20,000 items including books, paperbacks, audio and video tapes, CDs, DVDs, magazines and puzzles.

The Sun City Center library is distinguished from other libraries in as much as it contains the second largest collection of large print material in the county. With the introduction of a computer terminal, the library is able to borrow books and related materials not held at the Sun City Center Library from other public libraries in the county through this terminal by placing holds on the selected material. The holds are then delivered three times a week to the customers of the Sun City Center Library.
