The 25,000 square foot Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library, a gift from the W/D Charities, opened February 14, 2002. The building is named in honor of Jimmie B. Keel, former Assistant County Administrator, in recognition of his 35 years of passionate, caring service to Hillsborough County.

Open seven days a week, the Keel Library offers a comprehensive collection of books, magazines, videos, DVDs, CDs and recorded books as well a full range of programs and services for both children and adults.

A large auditorium and four conference rooms accommodate programs, meetings, quiet study and literacy tutoring. A computer lab is available for public use and library sponsored computer classes. A drive thru window provides convenient checkout and return of library materials.

The Carousel Book Store, in the lobby, is operated by volunteers of the Friends of the Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library with all proceeds from sales directly benefiting the branch.
